Do you find at times you move quickly past poses that take you to your edge?  Are you able to see the relationship between this and how you move when in fear or discomfort in your life?  Have you taken the time to really listen to, connect to and know your body? When we move slowly, we are able to feel what is going on in our body, helping us be in control of our movements and our choices, assisting us in understanding our strengths and developing our areas of weakness.  In this challenging yoga practice, you will be given the opportunity to slow down and with focused awareness and strength, move into and out of poses with mindfulness.  Moving in this way will help students build true strength by engaging the correct muscles to make the pose happen, while giving stronger muscles (the ones that always work) a break.  This practice will help you play at your edges, while staying connected to your breath, leaving you feeling balanced, powerful and centered. In addition to connecting with, listening to and strengthening the body, this is a mindful practice that brings your awareness to the present moment, reconnecting you with the now and the flow of life. We will end the practice with Gamma breath, led by Kara Biancardi.  Gamma breath activates the pineal gland while in this state, which allows for DMT (the spirit molecule) to be released, along with other neurotransmitters, guaranteeing a high vibing savasana.
